EarthxTV is celebrating Earth Day every day with special programming blocks and the return of two popular series—”Bike to Bites” on April 4 at 9 pm E.T. and “Kill Your Lawn” on April 11 at 10 pm E.T. Both series will air on EarthxTV in the U.S., the U.K., Ireland, and Europe. Kill Your Lawn (Season 2, April 11 at 10 pm E.T.) Joey Santore and Al Scorch are on a mission to kill your lawn. This season on Kill Your Lawn the wise-cracking duo travel to Chicago and Washington D.C., upturning the status quo, one lawn-killing adventure at a time. Join Joey and Al as they help homeowners completely transform their front lawns. Removing water-hungry sod and replacing it with native plants is serious business; it can: ● Increase biodiversity, including native birds, insects, and pollinators ● Reduce landfill waste ● Decrease pesticide use ● Save water and help prevent erosion and flooding Chicago native Joey Santore, also known for his popular Crime Pays But Art Doesn’t YouTube channel, has a passion for native plants. The former freight train conductor and self-taught botanist travels the globe documenting plant life, evolution, and ecology. He also enjoys fuzzy slippers, fine marinara sauce, and taquerias with numerous health code violations. His co-host, friend, and fellow Chicago native Al Scorch is a comedian, writer, and musician. Whether he’s releasing albums of original songs, or producing videos for his own YouTube channel “Over By There,” Al is Joey’s sounding board and on-the-fly narrator as they travel the country, upturning the status quo, one lawn killing adventure at a time. Bike to Bites (Season 2, April 4 at 9pm E.T.) Join host Garrett Bess for all-new adventures as he bikes across the U.S. and visits Philadelphia, Chicago, Austin, Boulder, San Diego, and other cities to explore spectacular sights and flavors while showcasing sustainable, locally sourced, farm-to-table dishes and earth-friendly restaurants. From Italian Ice shops and breweries to Michelin-starred restaurants, join Garrett as he spotlights the best places in town. This season Garrett visits celebrity Chef David Burke’s DRIFTHOUSE on the Jersey Shore, Pat’s King of Steaks in Philadelphia, Zahav and multi-James Beard and Four Bells awarded chef Michael Solomonov, Mr. Beef in Chicago which inspired the TV series “The Bear,” and many more.
